Quote from Effie Triantafilopoulos MPP:

“Residents in long-term care deserve a home that is safe and comfortable, close to their families and friends. Families want to know that their loved ones will receive the supports they need in long-term care. We have also committed to increasing direct care from 2.75 hours a day to 4 hours a day over four years – the only province to do this in Canada.”

“From 2011 to 2018, the Liberal Government only opened 611 new long-term care spaces in Ontario. I am proud that our government is building thousands of new long-term care spaces, which are particularly needed in fast-growing communities such as Oakville North-Burlington. As a result of our investments, many Ontario ridings, including our community, will have more new beds than the Liberals created in the entire province in seven years.”
