Oakville North-Burlington Newsletter October 04, 2025

October 3, 2025

“In recent months, harmful U.S. tariffs have challenged Ontario’s workers, industries, and economy. Our government, led by Premier Doug Ford, responded quickly with an $11 billion relief package to protect jobs and families.

This includes:
$9 billion in tax deferrals extended to impacted businesses;
$2 billion rebate through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board;
$1 billion through the Protect Ontario Financing Program offering emergency loans to impacted businesses.

The Ontario Made Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit has been enhanced, providing over $1.3 billion in support. Additionally, $50 million from the Ontario Together Trade Fund is helping strengthen supply chains.

Working closely with federal and our provincial partners, we remain committed to Ontario-made growth and prosperity, to protect Ontario jobs and families.
.” MPP Effie Triantafilopoulos
