Ontario Supporting Oakville and Burlington Fire Departments During COVID-19
Oakville North-Burlington — MPP Effie Triantafilopoulos and MPP Stephen Crawford announced today that the Ontario Government is supporting the Oakville and Burlington Fire Departments with financial assistance to help address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Oakville Fire Department will receive $52,400 and the Burlington Fire Department will receive $49,800 from the province.
The funding will help the two departments enhanced fire safety training and support safety inspection programs to ensure compliance with the Ontario Fire Code. The announcement is part of a $5 million investment in fire services across Ontario.
